MEDIA MONITORS has continued to track the spending of leading Presidential candidates HILLARY CLINTON and DONALD TRUMP of spots that both parties have been running on TV in 61 top DMAs over the last 10 days, JULY 15th-24th.
In the last 10 days, the HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT CAMPAIGN aired 7,318 spots. In the same date range, the NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION's POLITICAL VICTORY FUND ran 645 spots promoting DONALD TRUMP.
The SUPER PAC REBUILDING AMERICA NOW aired 12 spots on behalf of TRUMP and the GREAT AMERICA PAC added an additional spot for TRUMP.
In the last 10 days, the NEXT GEN CALIFORNIA committee bought 360 spots which urged young CALIFORNIANS to register and vote, with an obvious negative message against DONALD TRUMP.
The bulk of the “against” ads for the time period came from the PRIORITIES USA ACTION PAC, a known HILLARY CLINTON supporter. They ran 1,936 spots.
In radio, the only campaign-related radio ads spotted by the survey were seven spots from the TRUMP Super PAC LIBERTY ACTION GROUP, purchased in BALTIMORE, HARTFORD, DAYTON and JACKSONVILLE asking for donations to help DONALD TRUMP defeat HILLARY CLINTON. The Super PAC has only spent $90,000 up to now, according to OpenSecrets.org.
