New WPTF/Raleigh Morning Host Boston Diagnosed With Leukemia

Get well wishes go out to new CURTIS MEDIA Talk WPTF-A/RALEIGH morning host JACK BOSTON, who was diagnosed with leukemia on THURSDAY. BOSTON moved to WPTF from sister Oldies WWMY (Y 102.9) on MONDAY and went for medical tests that day, which resulted in the diagnosis of myoblastic leukemia.

BOSTON will be off the air while getting chemotherapy, and veteran talker MIKE BUTTS will fill in starting next week until BOSTON can return. BOSTON was scheduled to appear on FRIDAY's show with fill-ins RICK AND DONNA MARTINEZ, but checked into the hospital and did not make the appearance.
