Twenty-year Christian radio veteran MATT MCNEILLY has been named the station manager of MOODY BIBLE Talk-Teaching-Music WMBI (90.1 FM Moody Radio)/CHICAGO. MCNEILLY is replacing former station manager ROY PATTERSON, who was appointed last year to serve as special assistant to MOODY Pres. DR. PAUL NYQUIST.
MCNEILLY has served as station manager in CHICO, CA, as well as MADISON, WI, and has a broad array of experience that also includes positions as a Network OD, PD, morning host, traffic manager and more. His tenure begins on MONDAY, AUGUST 1st, just four days after MOODY RADIO will celebrate its 90th anniversary.
MOODY RADIO VP COLLIN LAMBERT said, "As WMBI celebrates this historical milestone, we will be expanding our efforts to make sure that all those from CHICAGOLAND to SOUTHERN WISCONSIN and NORTHWEST INDIANA are aware of MOODY RADIO and the hope and encouragement that it brings to the air each day. MATT brings an excitement and enthusiasm to this effort. He is dedicated to growing MOODY RADIO further in the community and increasing the impact in this region in ways we have not yet seen."
MCNEILLY added, "I am very excited to join the team at WMBI. The MOODY RADIO staff's heart is amazing and I can't wait to serve with everyone in reaching our community for CHRIST in new and exciting ways. It is quite an honor to be joining such a legacy in not only CHICAGO, but Christian radio as a whole."
In addition to managing the station, MCNEILLY will serve as a spokesperson for MOODY RADIO, cultivating relationships with listeners, pastors and community leaders in an effort to enhance the station's visibility in CHICAGO.
MATT and his wife, KELLY, have been married for 15 years and have three young boys, NOAH (12), ISAIAH (10) and CANON (7).
