WUMJ/Atlanta Drops The 'Boom' For A Return To 'Majic'

Majic Returns To 97.5

RADIO ONE WUMJ (97.5)/ATLANTA  has discontinued simulcasting with Classic Hip-Hop BOOM 102.9.  The station has returned to simulcasting with Urban AC WAMJ (MAJIC 107.5).

VP/GM TIM DAVIS said, “One signal wasn't strong enough to reach all of our audience.  Our South ATLANTA audience missed listening to THE STEVE HARVEY MORNING SHOW, MARIA MORE AND THE RIDE WITH SIMAN and CHUBB ROCK in the afternoons.  So we have brought the two back together, literally the MAJIC is back!”

“BOOM 102.9 will continue by itself on DECATUR-licensed translator W275BK, fed by the HD2 channel of WUMJ.   THE ED LOVER MORNING SHOW was launched on the station earlier in the year.  (NET NEWS 1/11)
