ROVERFEST 2016, the annual festival thrown by syndicated radio show ROVER’S MORNING GLORY, drew more than 20,000 people to BLACK RIVER LANDING in LORAIN, OH on SATURDAY, JULY 31st.
Explaining the unique lineup, ROVER said, “We’re a talk show, on rock stations, that puts hip-hop artists on the bill every year.”
CLEVELAND-native rapper and actor MACHINE GUN KELLY, currently starring in SHOWTIME’s ROADIES, stunned the audience with an unannounced performance that had him hanging upside down from the stage roof.
“MACHINE GUN KELLY and I set it up the night before over the phone,” said ROVER. “He didn’t tell his people and I didn’t tell mine. We were the only two people who knew. The crowd went nuts!”
For those that could not attend the sold-out event, live video and audio of the entire festival was streamed on the show’s website at www.RoverRadio.com and on the a mobile app. The stream attracted more than 350,000 views and served more than 3 million viewer minutes live.
