ESPN Radio Unveils Revamped Weekend Lineup For Football Season

ESPN RADIO will revamp its weekend lineup for the 2016 football season.
The network is adding a new SUNDAY night show with former PHILADELPHIA EAGLES, WASHINGTON REDSKINS, and MINNESOTA VIKINGS quarterback and NBC SPORTS RADIO host DONOVAN MCNABB and BRIAN CUSTER; a SUNDAY morning show "WEEKEND OBSERVATIONS WITH STU AND SPAIN" with "THE DAN LE BATARD SHOW WITH STUGOTZ" co-host JON "STUGOTZ" WEINER and SARAH SPAIN; and a SUNDAY evening NFL wrapup show, "NFL NATION," with former NFL cornerback DOMONIQUE FOXWORTH and ESPN Sports WMVP-A (ESPN CHICAGO 1000)/CHICAGO host JONATHAN HOOD.
Taking a break for the season will be "espnW PRESENTS: THE TRIFECTA," although that show's three hosts -- SPAIN, KATE FAGAN, and JANE MCMANUS -- will still be on the schedule, SPAIN on the new show with WEINER, FAGAN on "WILL AND KATE" with WILL CAIN, and MCMANUS on "OPERATION FOOTBALL" with RANDY SCOTT and FIELD YATES. The new lineup is effective SEPTEMBER 3rd through the end of football season.
“Without question, the biggest names in sports talking football will be on ESPN RADIO all weekend,” said ESPN AUDIO Network Content VP DAVID ROBERTS. “Fans can expect the most comprehensive information, from an array of diverse voices who will always be willing to provide a provocative, informed point of view on AMERICA’s number (1) sport. We are looking forward to serving the sports fans anytime and anywhere across the audio platforms this fall.”
PD II LOUISE CORNETTA added, "The Fall means football. The goal is to give our fans the most comprehensive and entertaining coverage for College Football on SATURDAYS and the NFL on SUNDAYS. The new weekend lineup will provide our listeners with something for everyone to enjoy.”
SATURDAY's lineup: DARI AND MEL 7-10a (ET), ESPN COLLEGE GAMEDAY simulcast 10a-noon, ESPN RADIO's COLLEGE GAMEDAY noon-7p, WILL AND KATE 11p-1a (with ROBIN LUNDBERG doing 11p-1a on select SATURDAY nights).
SUNDAY's lineup: "THE SPORTING LIFE WITH JEREMY SCHAAP" 6-7a, "WEEKEND OBSERVATIONS WITH STU AND SPAIN" 7-9a, FANTASY FOCUS 9a-1p, "MAX AND THE COACH WITH TOM WADDLE" with MAX BRETOS, JONATHAN COACHMAN, and WADDLE 1-4p, OPERATION FOOTBALL 4-7p, "NFL NATION" 7-10p, MCNABB AND CUSTER 10p-1a.
