As part of the acquisition of GREATER MEDIA by BEASLEY, HOT AC WLNK (107.9 THE LINK) and News-Talk WBT-A/CHARLOTTE and WBT's suburban simulcast partner WBT-F/CHESTER, SC have been placed in a spinoff trust, THE CHARLOTTE DIVESTITURE TRUST, with JOHN C. DONLEVIE as trustee. The stations are being spun off to satisfy FCC ownership limits in the CHARLOTTE market.

Also, the FCC has once again denied the sale by the estate of LYNDA WARE, through executor CYNTHIA RAMAGE, of LINDSAY BROADCASTING's five CENTRAL CALIFORNIA stations in a "distress sale" to JESSE PORTILLO's BIG RADIO PRO INC. for $2.7 million. dismissing a Petition for Reconsideration. The case arises from applications filed in MARCH and APRIL 2015 in which RAMAGE applied to sell Adult Standards KZPO/LINDSAY, CA to BIG RADIO PRO INC., while the latter also filed under the same contract of sale to acquire the construction permit for KNGS/COALINGA, CA from WILLIAM L. ZAWILA, the construction permit for KAAX/AVENAL, CA from AVENAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, INC., the construction permit for KYAF/FIREBAUGH, CA from CENTRAL VALLEY EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, INC., and the construction permit for KZPE/FORD CITY, CA from H.L. CHARLES. In the latest round, like the last, the sellers claimed that the now-defunct "distress sale" should be applied to their case despite it no longer being the Commission's policy.
