Radio One Sued For Patent Infringement

A company called AUTUMN CLOUD LLC has sued RADIO ONE, INC. among several others it is targeting for patent infringement. The suit against RADIO ONE, asserting patents acquired from OLIVISTAR LLC, which bought the patents from inventors VIGILOS, INC. for “System and Method for Customizing the Storage and Management of Device Data in a Networked Environment,” involves storage and archiving of device data. The suit alleges that RADIOONE's BLACKPLANET.COM social network/dating website and app infringe the patents.
Also facing suits from AUTUMN CLOUD in the same court are BRIGHTCOVE, INC.; DEFY MEDIA, INC.; KALTURA, INC.; GROUPON LLC; LONELY PLANET; SUGARSYNC, INC.; OOYALA, INC.; PINTEREST, INC.; KAYAK, INC.; TWITTER, INC.; TRIPADVISOR, INC.; TRAVELZOO, INC.; UNITED CONTINENTAL HOLDINGS, INC.; and VIRGIN AMERICA, INC.
