SiriusXM To Dedicate Channel For Olympics Coverage

SIRIUSXM RADIO is dedicating a channel to coverage of the SUMMER OLYMPICS in RIO DE JANIERO, BRAZIL. "RIO OLYMPICS RADIO," produced with rights holders WESTWOOD ONE and NBCUNIVERSAL, will launch TOMORROW (8/5) on channel 106 and will air through the 21st.
The channel will air WESTWOOD ONE's broadcasts of U.S. men's and women's basketball and soccer, plus men's golf, and will also air WESTWOOD ONE's "TONIGHT IN RIO" 10p (ET) wrap-up show. SIRIUSXM will produce a daily morning show, "RIO REPORT," with CHRIS SPATOLA and JIM NOBLE and a USA Men's Basketball preview show with U.S. Men's National Team coach and SIRIUSXM host MIKE KRZYZEWSKI, pre- and post-game shows for U.S. Women's National Team soccer with SIRIUSXM FC host GLENN CROOKS, former USWNT player ALY WAGNER, and former USMNT player ERIC WYNALDA.
The channel will also air pre- and post-game shows for men's basketball with former NBA players and SIRIUSXM NBA RADIO hosts JASON TERRY, TIM LEGLER, BRENDAN HAYWOOD, CHRIS SPATOLA, and MARK MORGAN, while SIRIUSXM PGA TOUR RADIO will air a special on OLYMPIC golf history with MARTIN DAVIS and SIRIUSXM RUSH will feature boxing analysis from MARK BRELAND and GERRY COONEY.
