WDMK/Detroit’s John Mason & Angie Starr Have Legal Troubles

RADIO ONE Urban AC WDMK (105.9 KISS)/DETROIT Morning personalities JOHN MASON and ANGIE STARR, were placed in a WAYNE COUNTY, MI jail THURSDAY (8/4), reports FOX 2/DETROIT.

It’s alleged the two borrowed money to hold an event in 2008, but never honored the loan contract.  Circuit Court Judge DAPHNE MEANS CURTIS ruled in favor of the plaintiffs because MASON and STARR failed to comply with a subpoena issued regarding a creditors examination.  According to court documents,  they failed to satisfy a judgment of $10,085.21; upon payment of $4,126.74 both were to be released. 

There is no word yet on the status of the situation.  It's unclear if the pair spent much, if any, time in jail -- and they were on the air this morning  for the the MASON & COCO IN THE MORNING show. To read the full story and the court document, click here.
