Fire Knocks GA Station Off Air

DAVIS BROADCASTING Regional Mexican WLKQ (LA RAZA 102.3)/BUFORD, GA was knocked off the air for part of SUNDAY (10/15) due to a fire at a building next to the station's tower. ACCESSNORTHGEORGIA.COM reports that the fire was knocked down by firefighters after an initial delay due to the electrical hazard; a representative of the GWINNETT COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT said that the fire appears to have been accidental.
