KOBALT LABEL SERVICES have signed a worldwide label services agreement with multi-instrumentalist producer, singer and guitarist TOM MISCH for the release of his forthcoming debut album. The agreement will encompass the full range of services offered by KLS to its clients, including digital distribution, physical distribution, marketing, international marketing and synch licensing.
The 21-year-old SOUTH LONDON native has been working with KOBALT’s AWAL digital distribution service for self-released artists since 2014 when he released the joint EP, “Out To Sea” with collaborator CARMODY. Last year, he released a collaboration mixtape, “Beat Tape 2,” which led to impressive support from BEATS1, BBC RADIO 1, SPOTIFY and APPLE MUSIC. The project has generated more than 30 million combined streams to date.
His latest EP, “Reverie," finds him adopting a more live sound to reflect his emergence as a live act while his new track, “Crazy Dream,” featuring LOYLE CARNER, scored his first BBC RADIO 1 PLAYLIST record. MISCH is currently working on his debut album to be released next year and is preparing for his sold-out debut U.S. tour this NOVEMBER, along with his headline show in LONDON.
KOBALT Global Head Of Creative VINCENT CLERY-MELIN commented on the signing: “We began working with TOM two years ago via our AWAL service and we are delighted to continue this fantastic journey with him and his management team. We believe he is a special artist and his ever-developing talent as a producer, songwriter and performer lead us to believe he’s going to deliver a stunning debut album which will position him globally as one of the best new talents to emerge from the current LONDON scene.
“Equally importantly, we are proud that TOM has chosen to take his own route to market and decided to retain control of his music and ownership of his masters, as well as thankful that he chose KOBALT as a partner to deliver his campaign and music to the world.”
MISCH's manager DUNCAN MURRAY added: “We are extremely excited to be continuing our relationship with KLS. They have provided us with crucial funding and support in the early stages of TOM's career and we feel they are the perfect partner to help us deliver his debut album while allowing him the opportunity to retain his rights with full creative control.”
