Westwood One News' Steve Kastenbaum Gets Olympic Media Members Running

Because it's not busy enough covering the SUMMER OLYMPICS in RIO DE JANIERO, WESTWOOD ONE NEWS correspondent STEVE KASTENBAUM ended up organizing a five-mile run for media members early SUNDAY morning.

KASTENBAUM was looking for runners to go out with him on a morning jaunt, and put up signs in the Media Village elevator saying "Let's Run."  And a hardy band of eight other runners decided to join him for a little exercise, prompting KASTENBAUM to say, "This is so worth sleeping three-and-a-half hours."

DIERDRE FITZPATRICK of HEARST NBC affiliate KCRA-TV/SACRAMENTO was along for the run -- she's a dedicated marathon runner -- and took this video of the run:
