Daniel McDonald Named VP/Research At NAB

The NAB has named former NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNELS Exec. Dir./Programmung and Research DANIEL MCDONALD as VP/Research, heading up the NAB RESEARCH division, taking over a position formerly held by TANYA VAN POOL and reporting to SVP/Communications ANN MARIE CUMMING.

MCDONALD previously served as Dir./Programming and Research at CBS O&O WBBM-TV (CBS 2)/CHICAGO and Dir./Research, Southern Division for COMCAST SPOTLIGHT. Before that, he worked at the old PARAMOUNT STATIONS GROUP (later moved under CBS ownership) and its then-UPN affiliates WTOG-TV (UPN 44, now CW 44)/TAMPA, WPSG-TV (UPN 57, now CW affiliate PHILLY 57 THE CW)/PHILADELPHIA and KTXA-TV (UPN 21, now independent TXA21)/DALLAS.
