POWELL BROADCASTING/PANAMA CITY, FL stations -- Country WKNK (KICK’N 103.5), Top 40 WPFM (HOT 1079), and Classic Rock WRBA, along with local TV station WMBB-TV (NEWS 13) -- have collected donations for LOUISIANA flood relief. "Within eight hours, we had loaded a full-size truck from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK with personal care items, snack foods, and baby care items," said POWELL BROADCASTING/PANAMA CITY, FL OM CHRIS ALAN. "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK donated their time and truck and are even delivering the materials to BATON ROUGE and other areas affected by the recent flooding. We also collected hundreds of packages of bottled water, which will be loaded on a convoy of trucks manned by local area volunteers."
ALAN added, “All the credit for this goes to HOT 1079 'MORNING ZOO' host MELISSA MILLER, who saw a post by a friend on FACEBOOK who wanted to do something to help. By the time it got to me, she had already lined up a dozen local volunteers, WALMART, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, and the TV station. Seeing the constant stream of people stopping with bags of items was awesome. Morning show host FLIP, on KICK'N 103.5, even got emotional in her FACEBOOK LIVE video as the day ended.”
