SPANISH BROADCASTING SYSTEM will launch a brand-new MIAMI, FL, station featuring CUBAN REGGAETON in WRMA (RITMO 95.7 FM), starting MONDAY (AUGUST 22nd), according to the MIAMI HERALD.
CUBA's take on LATIN urban music features top acts like GENTE DE ZONA and JACOB FOREVER, who will be among the acts dominating the station's playlist. The station, which was previously a Top 40 outlet, will play two-thirds CUBATON, along with other urban and REGGAETON music. Their new slogan is “Cubatón y más.”
GENTE DE ZONA, who broke into the U.S. market with “Bailando,” their collaboration with ENRIQUE IGLESIAS, recorded another hit, “La Gozadera,” with MARC ANTHONY.
