ALPHA MEDIA/TOPEKA stations WIBW-A, WIBW and KTPK hosted their 4th annual Kick Off Party for NATIONAL NIGHT OUT on FRIDAY, AUGUST 5th. This year’s event attracted 600 people.
The party celebrates the local initiative in partnership with National Night Out. The public was invited to the station’s parking lot to enjoy food and social time with neighbors and community partners. Community organizations, law enforcement agencies, the local library, animal shelters, and more participated. Children enjoyed hands-on experiences with fire trucks and police cars, had their faces painted, listened to great music, and won prizes.
“Being able to partner with community organizations from year to year is part of the ALPHA MEDIA/TOPEKA DNA," ALPHA MEDIA Market Manager LARRY RIGGINS said. "We are so pleased that this event keeps growing, and we look forward to continuing this growth in the future.”
“We are happy to partner with Safe Streets and the National Night Out event every year, and every year, it gets bigger and bigger," ALPHA MEDIA Promotions Dir. TOREY BERNDT said. "It’s a great way to be involved with your community and develop positive relationships with your neighbors and local law enforcement officials.”
