SAMSUNG is pulling the plug on its MILK MUSIC service. CNET reports, "The KOREAN electronics giant said MONDAY the music-streaming app for users of its GALAXY smartphones will shut down in the U.S. on SEPTEMBER 22nd. The app was launched in 2014 with music provided by Internet radio service SLACKER RADIO, but it failed to gain traction against the likes of SPOTIFY and APPLE MUSIC -- thanks largely to it being exclusive to owners of recent SAMSUNG flagship phones."
"We have made the strategic decision to invest in a partner model focused on seamlessly integrating the best music services available today into our family of GALAXY devices," SAMSUNG said in a statement. "We believe that working with partners will accelerate innovation, enhance device sales and provide amazing new experiences for our customers."
