Popular CUMULUS MEDIA Rock WKQZ (Z93)/MIDLAND, MI, morning show personality JOE VOLK of '"JOE and the Poorboy" is no longer with the station, according to his co-host,ADAM SHILLING, who made the announcement on-air MONDAY.

VOLK, a local native and graduate of CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY, had been with the station for over 25 years.

"I look forward to another 25 years," VOLK said in a MARCH 2015 statement.

The "JOE and the Poorboy" show no longer appears on the station's main website. The show is still linked, however, at www.therockstationz93.com/joe-and-the-poorboy — but JOE is not listed as one of the station's radio personalities.

Fans have posted to the Z93 THE ROCK STATION! FACEBOOK page seeking an explanation.
"I do believe someone there owes morning show listeners an explanation to what's going on. You have a lot of loyal people that listen every morning, That now don't know what to think," one post reads.

"Yes, you do deserve an explanation and if you were listening this morning you would have heard one. Oh but wait, you weren't listening," read a response from Z93.

"Sometimes it's not just 'corporate cutbacks.' Truth sucks sometimes," stated another response from the station.
