ANAHEIM BROADCASTING Rock KCAL/RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNARDINO, CA has announced the return of TIM BROWN for weekends and fill-in. BROWN worked at KCAL and sister station Classic Hits KOLA from 1994-1999 doing everything from Music Research to Promotion Coordinator/Director for both stations.
In February 2004, BROWN started doing New Business Development for a start-up security and protective service provider in BAGHDAD, IRAQ. After returning to the STATES, he spent several years working for another private security firm. Then, in 2009, BROWN suffered a detached retina in his left eye and a cataract in his right eye and the following year he was diagnosed with PTSD and severe depression. Now he's back and ready to rock again.
KCAL PD DARYL NORSELL said, "BROWNIE's back. We've managed to stay in touch during his adventures over the years. When he said he wanted to return to KCAL I brought him in to talk about it, and everyone up and down the hallway came running up smiling to greet him. It just felt like a matter of when, not if."
BROWN said, "I have been blessed with the opportunity to once again work with a wonderful radio family that I have spent years trying to return to."
