WXLC/Waukegan Hosts Back To School BBQ For School Supplies

ALPHA MEDIA Hot AC WXLC/WAUKEGAN-KENOSHA-CHICAGO hosted a Back to School BBQ on FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th along with the LAKE COUNTY UNITED WAY. The BBQ raised over $5,600 for school supplies that will go to students in need. 

The event was held outside the WAUKEGAN-KENOSHA studios and included a live broadcast from 11a-2p, food donated by SAM’S CLUB of VERNON HILLS, and various activities including a dunk tank and live music.

“It was great how the station and community came together to make a difference in the lives of local kids and invest in their future -- and the future of LAKE COUNTY,” ALPHA MEDIA OM/PD/afternoons HAYNES JOHNS said.
