Cumulus Buys FM Translator To Simulcast KKOB-A/Albuquerque

MARTHA T. WHITMAN is selling K233CG/SANDIA, NM to CUMULUS' RADIO LICENSE HOLDING CBC, LLC for $425,000.  The buyer plans to use the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk KKOB-A/ALBUQUERQUE; the seller acquired the translator from EMF for $61,432.66 and closed on the deal earlier this month.

In other filings with the FCC, after the deal was announced in FEBRUARY, the transaction by which CRS RADIO HOLDINGS, INC. is selling Sports WFAY-A (ESPN FAYETTEVILLE)/FAYETTEVILLE, NC and Sports-Rock WFBX-A (92-5 FBX)/SPRING LAKE, NC; CUMBERLAND A&A CORP. is selling Gospel WMIR-A (REJOICE 1200)/ATLANTIC BEACH, SC; and ASTRAKEL INTERNATIONAL, LTD. is selling W275AH/MAXSON, NC, W250AQ/THOMSON, GA, W261CX/FAYETTEVILLE, NC, and W238CJ/ATLANTIC BEACH, SC to COLONIAL MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT, LLC for $771,641 plus a Time Brokerage Agreement before closing has finally been filed with the FCC.

WENDOLYNN TELLEZ is selling K231CG/WACO, TX and K238BZ/SEGUIN, TX to ACJ COMMUNICATIONS for $50,000 ($10,000 cash, $40,000 promissory note).  The buyer plans to move the translators to rebroadcast Tejano KEDA-A/SAN ANTONIO, which presently simulcasts on K272EK/SAN ANTONIO..

MARSHALL COUNTY RADIO CORPORATION has filed for bankruptcy, and the conversion of the case from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7 has resulted in the appointment of SUSAN R. LIMOR as trustee.  MCRC is the licensee of Silent WAXO-A and W240CC/LEWISBURG, TN.

VIRTUES COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KJVV/TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA due to transmitter problems.

CLAMOR BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for WJVP/CULEBRA, PR due to "major financial issues" resulting from the station's former operation at its main site in CULEBRA (an island 17 miles off the main island), including the power company combining the licensee's power bills for the CULEBRA and STA locations.

VALLEYDALE BROADCASTING, LLC has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for WZNN/MAPLESVILLE, AL after losing its transmitter site.

RADIOJONES, LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WHCG-A/METTER, GA due to a tower collapse and subsequent disputes with insurance companies.

JOULE BROADCASTING, LLC, the CUMULUS spinoff entity managed by broker EDDIE ESSERMAN, has closed on the sale of Adult Standards WNZZ-A/MONTGOMERY, AL to SHELBY BROADCAST ASSOCIATES for $55,000.

FINE ARTS RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of W269BF/SISTERSVILLE, WV to VANDALIA MEDIA PARTNERS, LLC  for $50,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk WMOV-A/RAVENSWOOD, WV.

CORNERSTONE COMMUNITY RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of W276CX/NEW PORT RICHEY, FL to BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP, LLC for $125,000.  The translator will rebroadcast Contemporary Christian WRBQ-HD2 (FAITH 104.7)/TAMPA-ST. PETERSBURG.

And LIVING PROOF, INC. has closed on the sale of K293CA/CARSON CITY, NV to TOM QUINN's RENO MEDIA GROUP, L.P. for $35,000 and K249ES/SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, NV to the same buyer for $35,000.
