Condolences to family and friends of longtime advice show host DR JOY BROWNE, who died AUGUST 27th at 71.  Her show, most recently syndicated through GENESIS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK, had its final airing last FRIDAY (8/26).  The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Dr. JOY hosted advice shows for several years, starting at the old WITS-A/BOSTON.  She was at WOR-A/NEW YORK for 15 years, some of that syndicated through the WOR RADIO NETWORK; after exiting WOR in late 2012, she was distributed via RADIO AMERICA and then GCN.

Affiliate HUBBARD Talk KTMY (myTALK 107.1)/MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL posted the news with the message, "Dr. BROWNE was a legend in the radio industry and a pioneer and trailblazer whose career was respected and admired.  Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
