RIVIERA Top 40/Rhythmic KKFR (POWER 98.3 & 101.9)/PHOENIX PD MIKEY FUENTES makes some changes as morning co-host MC MAGIC steps down. MC MAGIC has been suffering with throat/vocal cord issues and felt it was necessary to step away from the morning show microphone to rest his vocal cords.
KKFR morning co-host DEE GARCIA had also been tracking middays at sister station, Hot AC KMVA (HOT 97.5 & 103.9) but will now go live.
To fill the KKFR morning opening, FUENTES moves talented night jock CRISCO KIDD and the CRISCO KIDD BLOCK PARTY to the morning show. CRISCO KIDD came aboard at KKFR in JULY from CUMULUS Top 40/Mainstream KLIF (HOT 93.3)/DALLAS. JULES, who was third mic on the MAGIC AND DEE MORNING SHOW stays on mornings with CRISCO.
Jumping into nights at KKFR is OH JEZUZ, who was FUENTES' lead parttimer. OH JEZUZ' resume includes time on the air at crosstown CBS RADIO Top 40/Mainstream KZON (LIVE 101.5) and GOLD COAST Top 40/Rhythmic KCAQ/OXNARD-VENTURA, CA.
FUENTES told ALL ACCESS, "OH JEZUZ is a super-talented kid who has earned a shot at the gig."
