Quad Cities Format Flips: KQCS To Classic Hits, WYEC To Adult Hits

TOWNSQUARE MEDIA Country KQCS (104.9 THE HAWK)/DEWITT, IA-QUAD CITIES has ended its stunting and flipped to Classic Hits as KIIK 104.9. The new name is a callback to the market's one-time Top 40 leader KIIK 104, now iHEARTMEDIA Country WLLR.

The flip, which followed a stunt in which songs with the word "talk" in their titles were played, picks up the format dropped at about the same time by crosstown VIRDEN BROADCASTING Classic Hits WYEC, which has flipped to Adult Hits as KQCJ (JACK FM 93.9).
