iHEARTMEDIA Alternative KYSR (ALT 98.7)/LOS ANGELES officially names MARTY WHITNEY as the station's new midday host beginning this TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th.  

ALT 98.7 PD MIKE KAPLAN said, "MARTY’s been pinch-hitting on middays this summer while continued to deliver our #1 rank among 18-34 Adults. MARTY joins us from our SAN DIEGO iHEART cluster where he’ll continue to host nights on KIOZ. His passions are music, swap meets, football, boxer dogs, beach days, fatherhood and being an awesome-not-too-cheesy wedding DJ on the weekend."

MARTY replaces JUSTIN KADE, who resigned in MARCH (NET NEWS, 3/2).
