CMB Announces Board Nominees

The CHRISTIAN MUSIC BROADCASTERS (CMB) Board announces nominees for the upcoming three vacant board seats as of SEPTEMBER 10th. Elected nominees will serve a four-year term.
Voting will take place during the CMB Town Hall Meeting on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th, at 4p ET. Results will be announced at MOMENTUM on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th.
All 2016 CMB Gold and Silver Members are eligible to vote, but must be present to do so.
Small-market seat nominees include:
RANDY DAVISON Pres., FRIENDS OF HOPE KHPE-F & KWIL-A/ALBANY, OR. RANDY has over 23 years of experience in radio with another 10 years in newspaper and an extensive background in sales and marketing. Located in ALBANY the stations are part of the EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD Market and have been broadcasting Christian content since 1958. RANDY oversees all fund raising and donor activity as well as radio, marketing and advertising operations.
BILL SAMMONS Pres./CEO/Station Mgr., WKNZ/SALISBURY-OCEAN CITY. BILL built and operated DELAWARE's first ever Christian radio station, WXPZ, back in 1990. In 2010 he helped launch WKNZ, 88.7 THE BRIDGE, a 25,000 watt non-comm serving DELAWARE, MARYLAND and SOUTH JERSEY. BILL also owns and operates a video production company called WATERMARK PRODUCTIONS. THE BRIDGE is a former recipient of the CMB Small Market Station of the Year award.
STEVE SWANSON MD/PD/Station Mgr., WAFJ/AUGUSTA, GA. STEVE has been involved in Christian radio since 1978 working with stations in MINNESOTA, IOWA, FLORIDA, MARYLAND, GEORGIA and SOUTH CAROLINA. STEVE has served as on-air host, MD, PD, and as Station Mgr. of 88.3 WAFJ since 2006. STEVE was named the CMB Program Director of the Year in 2009 and 2011.
At-Large seat nominees include:
ALAN MASON COO, K-LOVE & AIR1 Networks. With 40 years of experience in radio management, ALAN has a broad range of success in many different positions, including On-Air Talent, PD, GM and Executive level positions. ALAN also consults broadcasters in the areas of programming, marketing, research, and leadership. ALAN is an active contributor to the industry through his speaking engagements, published articles and his MASON MORNING MINUTE blog.
JOHN OWENS GM, BLUE RIDGE BROADCASTING. JOHN has been in broadcasting for almost 30 years. Today, he combines his passion for radio with his love of JESUS in the BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS. JOHN's prior experience includes 11 years as Network PD/Morning Show Host for the FAMILY LIFE NETWORK/NY-PA and 7 years as Op. Mgr. of 89.7 WMHK/COLUMBIA, SC. Under JOHN’s leadership, WMHK won multiple awards, including a DOVE AWARD for Large Market Station of the Year in 2009 and two CMB Medium Market Station of the Year Awards in 2012 & 2014.
TODD STACH CCO/Dir. of Prog. WCVO/COLUMBUS, OH. TODD has been a part of some wonderful teams at WAY-FM and THE FISH CLEVELAND before settling in at 104.9 THE RIVER where he passionately serves. It was an honor to be recognized as a part of CMB’s 2014 Large Market Station of the Year at 104.9 THE RIVER. He currently serves as a talent coach for CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY students and at THE HOUSE FM. This summer his team launched hip hop and positive rock stations. TODD hopes for more opportunities to serve, help others reach their full potential and to challenge the status quo.
JON HAMILTON Pres. CHRISTIAN FM Group. JON began his broadcast career in 1981 in CHARLOTTE. He has worked as a broadcast personality, programmer, station manager, & network executive in both mainstream and Christian broadcasting. Currently, JON connects personalities & custom content to more than 250 independent radio stations and networks. He also serves as GM of WSCF in VERO BEACH, FL and is an ordained minister and BIBLE teacher.
GRANT HUBBARD VP Nat. Prom., CAPITOL CHRISTIAN MUSIC GROUP. GRANT has served the music industry for the past 34 years with the last 19 years at CCMG. Prior to his time on the music industry side, he spent 8 years working at radio stations like KDVE in NEDERLAND, TX and KKRE/KXRE in COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, serving as on air talent, MD & PD. Throughout his career, GRANT has contributed to the growth of Christian music radio and the Christian music industry.
BRIAN MCINTYRE Network GM, WONU (Shine.FM)/CHICAGO. BRIAN’s start in radio began in 1994 when he served as the PD at WCFL in CHICAGO for seven years. In 2001, he joined WORLD MISSION BROADCAST SOUTH AMERICA and later WORLD MISSION BROADCAST GLOBAL where he continues in his role as the Global Director. He returned to the UNITED STATES in 2011 and joined the SHINE.FM team as the PD and was eventually promoted to the Network GM in 2013.
