iHEARTMEDIA has flipped Alternative WNRQ-HD2-W252CM (ALT 98.3)/NASHVILLE to Classic Country as "THE BIG LEGEND AT 98.3," a brand complimentary to sister Country WSIX's "THE BIG 98." The format flipped FRIDAY (9/2) at 5p (CT) with a commercial-free debut. "THE BIG LEGEND" joins WSIX, CUMULUS Country WKDF (NASH FM 103.3), CUMULUS Country WSM (NASH ICON 95.5), and RYMAN HOSPITALITIES Classic Country WSM-A as the fifth Country outlet in the market.
"We’re excited to announce the launch of a pure Classic Country radio station brand for the city where this music was born and lives on so strongly today,” said iHEARTMEDIA/NASHVILLE SVP/Programming and iHEARTCOUNTRY Brand Manager ROD PHILLIPS. “This new station is the perfect match to our sister station, 'THE BIG 98,' WSIX that made these songs so famous through the years.”
