WESTWOOD ONE syndicated "AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN" host KIX BROOKS announced that the CMA FOUNDATION will donate $30,000 to support music education initiatives that have been affected by recent flooding in BATON ROUGE, LA. A LOUISIANA native, BROOKS made the announcement during his set at the "ACADIANA STRONG" concert benefiting flood victims in OPELOUSAS, LA over the WEEKEND.
"I'm very proud of the CMA FOUNDATION and what they've done for music education around the country," said BROOKS. "We sometimes don't realize until a disaster of this magnitude happens how important it is to be able to rebuild music programs that otherwise may take years to rebuild." Funds will be donated to MUSIC RISING, an organization that responds specifically to the emergency needs of schools in communities devastated by natural or economic disaster.
