IAB Podcast Upfront 2016 Today In New York

The INTERACTIVE ADVERTISING BUREAU's PODCAST UPFRONT 2016 takes place TODAY (9/7) at the HENRY R. LUCE AUDITORIUM in NEW YORK's TIME, INC. building. 

Among the companies presenting at the showcase for media buyers are PODCASTONE, MIDROLL MEDIA, ADLARGE MEDIA, NPR, ESPN AUDIO, WNYC STUDIOS, PANOPLY, CBS RADIO's PLAY.IT, WONDERY, HOWSTUFFWORKS, AUTHENTIC, and TIME INC.   THE ROOTS' QUESTLOVE, a board member of WNYC, and author MALCOLM GLADWELL, whose PANOPLY podcast "REVISIONIST HISTORY" quickly took residence in the upper reaches of the iTUNES charts, are the keynote speakers for the event, which is being hosted by NPR "INVISIBILIA" hosts ALIX SPIEGEL and HANNA ROSIN and PLAY.IT "I AM RAPAPORT" host and actor MICHAEL RAPAPORT.

Podcasters scheduled to appear include "THIS AMERICAN LIFE" host IRA GLASS, "WTF" host MARC MARON, ESPN AUDIO's "FANTASY FOCUS FOOTBALL" host MATTHEW BERRY, NPR "TED RADIO HOUR" host GUY RAZ, WNYC "2 DOPE QUEENS" co-host and "SOOO MANY WHITE GUYS" host PHOEBE ROBINSON, ADLARGE "THE METAL IN ME" host and comedian JIM BREUER, HOWSTUFFWORKS "STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW" host CHUCK BRYANT, and PANOPLY's "HAPPIER" host GRETCHEN RUBIN.  PADMA LAKSHMI is also scheduled to appear as a "special guest" representing TIME's "YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS." 

And an after-party sponsored by PODCASTONE is scheduled to feature a "live podcast experience" with ADAM CAROLLA and SHAQUILLE O'NEAL.
