This THURSDAY (9/8), First Lady MICHELLE OBAMA and Rapper Q-TIP will honor the 5th annual class of the NATIONAL STUDENT POETS PROGRAM.
Q-TIP, the co-founder of A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, will be serving in his role as The KENNEDY CENTER’s Artistic Director for Hip-Hop Culture. The pair will welcome five student poets to the WHITE HOUSE for a special celebration and poetry reading.

- MAYA EASHWARAN/ALPHARETTA, GA (Southeast)
- GOPAL RAMAN/DALLAS (Southwest)
- JOEY REISBERG/TOWSON, MD (Northeast)
