This SUNDAY (9/11) marks the 15th anniversary of a dark day in AMERICA's history, when terrorists hijacked 4 airliners and used 2 of them to attack NEW YORK's World Trade Center and one other to fly into THE PENTAGON in WASHINGTON, D.C. Brave passangers prevented UNITED AIRLINES Flight 93 from flying into WASHINGTON, D.C., instead forcing a crash into a field in STONYCREEK TOWNSHIP near SHANKSVILLE, PA.
"Radio's Best Friend," Broadcast Archivist ART VUOLO remembers, "When I produced my 13 minute mini-documentary on how Radio handled the tragic events of SEPTEMBER 11th in 2001, I had no idea how lasting its affect would be. Radio stations, regardless of format, should feel free to use any or all of this piece to commemorate the 15th anniversary of America's worst modern day tragedy."
