A new study from BORRELL ASSOCIATES, named the "2016 Local Advertiser Survey," is out, and according to CEO GORDON BORRELL, "The findings are remarkable. We found significant agitation among local advertisers -- more so than usual. Calls by ad-sales reps have jumped 66% in the past year alone. Advertisers are taking steps to curtail the annoyance."
Radio ranked 4th, behind the Internet, Mobile and Direct Mail when it came to increased spending.
While Digital continues to see the most growth, it's not all bad for radio. BORRELL found, "one-third to more than half of advertisers elieve traditional media compliments their digital goals as well."
