ENTERCOM Hot AC WSTR (STAR 94.1)/ATLANTA morning co-host JENN HOBBY recently disclosed that her 11-month-old daughter REESE, has been diagnosed with cancer (NET NEWS 8/24). They have been enduring the brave fight with the incredible staff at the AFLAC CANCER CENTER OF CHILDREN’S HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA (CHOA).
One of the amenities at CHILDREN’S HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA AT EGLESTON is SEACREST STUDIOS/ATLANTA, gifted by the RYAN SEACREST FOUNDATION. The original intent of the studio was to keep patients connected to the outside world and teach kids about the exciting world of radio and TV broadcasting during their stay at CHILDREN’s. However, JENN and her co-host JEFF DAULER are grateful for the studio as now it will allow JENN to stay connected to her audience as she and her husband GRANT, continue REESE’s battle to be cancer survivor.
This week, REESE returns to CHILDREN’s for her second round of chemotherapy. During the hospital stay, THE JEFF & JENN SHOW will broadcast live from 5:30-10a on THURSDAY, SEPT. 8th and FRIDAY, SEPT. 9th from SEACREST STUDIOS/ATLANTA so that JENN only has to go downstairs to co-host the show and talk to ATLANTA and her STAR 94.1 family who are all inspired by REESE to beat pediatric cancer. SEACREST STUDIOS/ATLANTA will be home to THE JEFF & JENN SHOW during the remaining treatments for REESE.
"We are so grateful to CHILDREN’S HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA and THE RYAN SEACREST FOUNDATION for inviting THE JEFF & JENN SHOW inside their hospital radio studio, said JENN HOBBY. “This is truly a gift that will allow us to keep broadcasting, while I remain focused on my family and on Reese's treatment at CHILDREN’s."
RYAN SEACREST FOUNDATION Exec. Dir./COO MEREDITH SEACREST said, “We are honored that JENN is able to utilize SEACREST STUDIOS to continue to connect with her ATLANTA audience while her daughter is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Our foundation has JENN and her family in our thoughts and we know that REESE will be in excellent care with the team at CHOA.”
”We are happy to open our studio doors to JEFF and JENN while they go through this difficult time, saID CHOA Program Coordinator for SEACREST STUDIOS WENDY THREATT. “We want to make our patients and their families as comfortable as possible during their stay and having guests in our studio has been a welcomed distraction for many of our patients.”
