ROBERT FEDER's deal with the CHICAGO TRIBUNE's parent company TRONC has ended, the veteran CHICAGO media reporter informed readers TODAY (9/8).  FEDER will continue to post news at ROBERTFEDER.COM, now without the TRIBUNE's paywall.

In his post, FEDER, the former CHICAGO SUN-TIMES media columnist who has been posting at his own site for several years, most recently in an arrangement with the TRIBUNE, joked, "I've been troncked," and explained that his contract with the company ended at the end of AUGUST and was not renewed "for business reasons," according to TRONC.
