Silver Anchor Award to Honor WFPK/Louisville

Well-deserved Recognition

LOUISVILLE, KY FRIENDS OF THE WATERFRONT (FOTW), a nonprofit auxiliary arm of the WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, will host its 25th annual SILVER ANCHOR AWARD CELEBRATION on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th.  FOTW will honor LOUISVILLE PUBLIX MEDIA Triple A WFPK for its outstanding support of the WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT CORP. via its waterfront concert series – WATERFRONT WEDNESDAY.

“WATERFRONT WEDNESDAY is not only ingrained in the minds of the public, but has garnered regional and national attention,” said PAMELA MCCALLUM, President of FOTW.  “The exposure for numerous bands that have played here has significantly enhanced the reputation of many.  The success of WFPK WATERFRONT WEDNESDAY continues to grow and attract thousands of visitors to each concert.  None of this would be possible without the talent and expertise of the staff at WFPK.”
