Longtime former ALABAMA A&M sports radio voice IKE ROOKS passed away FRIDAY (9/9) at 87, the school has announced.
ROOKS called A&M football and men's basketball for over 40 years, most recently at the school's noncommercial Smooth Jazz WJAB/HUNTSVILLE, AL, where he also hosted "THE LOCKER ROOM." He was honored with induction into the HUNTSVILLE-MADISON COUNTY Athletic Hall of Fame, the ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB Hall of Fame (which he founded), and the ALABAMA A&M Sports Hall of Fame.
