SALEM Talk KKOL-A/SEATTLE is entering the final stages of preparation for its move to a new 50,000-watt transmitter with the shutdown of its simulcast KIKN-A/PORT ANGELES, WA on WEDNESDAY (10/18). The shutdown (KIKN is at 1290 AM, KKOL at 1300 AM) is part of the primary station's move to 50 kw days and 47 kw nights, pending final approval by the FCC, expected within 30 days.
