Following RENDA BROADCASTING Country WGNE (99.9 GATOR COUNTRY)/JACKSONVILLE APD/MD ABBY ZELLMER's resignation after one year with the company, iHEARTMEDIA has named her PD for Country WDRM and TOP 40 WQRV-HD2 W293AH (106.5 KISS-FM)/HUNTSVILLE, AL, effective immediately. She fills the vacancy created at WDRM when AJ MCCLOUD departed last MONTH (NET NEWS 8/2). “We’re so excited to bring ABBY to HUNTSVILLE,” iHEARTMEDIA/HUNTSVILLE SVP/Programming ERICH WEST said. “With her extensive experience working for both Country and Top 40 stations, she’s the perfect person to keep WDRM at the top of the ratings and develop our newest station –- 106.5 KISS-FM.”
“I'm extremely excited to work with a station like WDRM and return to Top 40 at 106.5 KISS-FM,” said ZELLMER. “I've learned a lot in JACKSONVILLE, and CHUCK BECK has been an amazing mentor. I can't wait to bring that knowledge and experience with me to HUNTSVILLE. Big thanks to ERICH and CARMELITA, as well as TOM HANRAHAN and ROD PHILLIPS for this opportunity."
Back at WGNE, OM CHUCK BECK tells ALL ACCESS, "I'm looking for our next APD/MD with crazy good SELECTOR skills, a social media leader, an air shift, and a major contributor to GATOR COUNTRY. Also, must have record company connections." Interested candidates can check out the ALL ACCESS JOBS board post here or send audio and resume to BECK via email here.
