The candidates all beat a path to iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WHO-A/DES MOINES during the runup to the IOWA Caucuses, but now that the general election looms, morning hosts VAN HARDEN and BONNIE LUCAS are inviting HILLARY CLINTON and DONALD TRUMP to come back on the station for a “positive and uplifting hour.” The first-come first-served invitation is for an hour of non-political conversation that would include the sounding of a buzzer whenever the candidate strays into political talk or criticism of his or her opponent.
“It’s only fitting that we come full circle from where the Presidential campaigns all started”, said HARDEN. “DONALD TRUMP and HILLARY CLINTON were on our show before the IOWA Caucus and we think it makes sense to ‘close the loop’ and provide our listeners get a chance to hear from them again directly before Election Day”.
“It’s all in good fun, of course!,” added LUCAS. “We want to keep the focus
on the type of personable and respectful conversation that Iowans want most and allow our listeners to get to know them better as real people.”
