Photographer Sues Radio One Over Use Of Notorious B.I.G, Faith Evans, Aaliyah Photos On Several Websites

Add to the growing list of photographers' lawsuits against radio companies for copyright infringement a suit filed TODAY (9/15) in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of NEW YORK by photographer ERIC JOHNSON against RADIO ONE, INC. and INTERACTIVE ONE, INC.

The suit alleges that copyrighted photos of NOTORIOUS B.I.G. and FAITH EVANS shot for VIBE magazine in 1995 and a photo of AALIYAH taken for ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY in 2001 ended up on several of RADIO ONE and INTERACTIVE ONE station and entertainment websites without credit or permission.
