Jack White To Guest On Chris Thile's 'A Prairie Home Companion' Official Debut

CHRIS THILE's first musical guests as he officially takes over hosting duties of AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA's "A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION" will be JACK WHITE and LAKE STREET DIVE, with the episode hitting the air on OCTOBER 15th.  Upcoming guests include NATHANIEL RATELIFF AND THE NIGHT SWEATS and JOHN HODGMAN on OCTOBER 22nd and ESPERANZA SPALDING and comedian APARNA NANCHERLA on OCTOBER 29th.

THILE, the mandolinist and former substitute host who is taking over the show from the retired GARRISON KEILLOR this season, said, “JACK WHITE is an inspiration - he plays, sings, and writes with every fiber of his formidable being. And my God, LAKE STREET DIVE! I've never witnessed a group of musicians create and perform with a more united sense of purpose.”
