Midwest Finds Buyer For Minnesota FM Spinoff

MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling Classic Rock KMFG/NASHWAUK, MN to REFUGE MEDIA GROUP for $96.000. The station is being spun off to allow MIDWEST to comply with ownership caps in its deal to buy Classic Rock KQDS-F/DULUTH and its simulcast stations WXXZ/GRAND MARAIS, MN and KAOD/BABBITT, MN; AC WEVE/EVELETH and its three translators W288AI/ELY, MN, W252AN/HIBBING, MN, and W221AU/VIRGINIA, MN, and Country KGPZ (Z96)/COLERAINE, MN from RED ROCK RADIO CORP. for $5.625 million.

In other filings with the FCC, EDWARD A. SCHOBER is selling W295CK/MANAHAWKIN, NJ to CANTICO NUEVO MINISTRIES, INC. for $110,000 ($30,000 cash, $80,000 in a promissory note).  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Spanish Religion WNYG/MEDFORD, LONG ISLAND, NY.

FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for W262CQ/MEDINA, NY after its landlord requested that it be taken off the property.

WLOK RADIO, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for K288FD/ARKADELPHIA, AR while it relocates to MEMPHIS to rebroadcast Gospel WLOK-A.

FOUR RIVERS COMMUNITY BROADCASTING CORP. has closed on the sale of W263CR/HALFWAY, MD to MANNING BROADCASTING INC. for $50,000.

MEDIA EYE has closed on the sale of K260CN/KLAMATH JUNCTION, OR (now K239CM/EUGENE) to KORE BROADCASTING, LLC for $25,500.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Silent KORE-A/SPRINGFIELD-EUGENE, OR, which it is simultaneously buying.

And CHOICE BROADCASTING CO. has closed on the sale of News-Talk KCNM-A/SAIPAN, NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS and AC KZMI/GARAPAN-SAIPAN, NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS to HOLONET CORPORATION.

In a deal yet to be filed with the FCC, RED ROCK RADIO CORP. is selling Adult Standards WCMP-A and Country WCMP-F (COOL COUNTRY 100.9)/PINE CITY, MN to ALAN QUARNSTROM's Q MEDIA PROPERTIES, LLC for an undisclosed price.  KALIL AND CO. served as exclusive broker for the deal.

And RED ROCK is also selling Oldies KGHS-A and Country KSDM/INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN; Sports KKIN-A (RED ZONE SPORTS RADIO) and Classic Country KKIN-F (94.3 FM CLASSIC COUNTRY)/AITKIN, MN; Adult Hits KFGI (101.5 JACK FM)/CROSBY, MN; News-Talk KLKS (TALK 100)/PEQUOT LAKES, MN; Sports WWWI-A (RED ZONE SPORTS RADIO)/BAXTER, MN; and Classic Rock WWWI-F (KQ 96, simulcasting KQDS/DULUTH)/PILLAGER, MN to R & J BROADCASTING, INC., also yet to appear in the FCC database and also brokered by KALIL AND CO.
