NABEF, BEA Announce Freedom Of Speech PSA Contest Winners

The NAB EDUCATION FOUNDATION (NABEF) and the BROADCAST EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (BEA) have announced the winners of the Freedom of Speech Public Service Announcement Contest for college communications students, with the winners getting a $2,500 scholarship each for their 30-second PSA submissions on the topic of “What Freedom of Speech means to me.”

The winning entries:

• Radio: MELVIN JOHNSON III, AMERICAN BROADCASTING SCHOOL, “More Than Words”
• Television: FELICIA TONGA, ANDREWS UNIVERSITY, “Protect Our Future”
