UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORKS has acquired UNIVERSAL COMEDY NETWORK, turning the parties' marketing relationship, which began in 2013, into outright ownership by USRN. UCN's JOEL GRAHAM is coming on board at USRN as Dir./Comedy Programming, based in NEW YORK, and the UCN staff is being absorbed into USRN’s staff. UCN was formed by GRAHAM in 2013 with the core creative team of the old AMERICAN COMEDY NETWORK.
USRN Chairman/CEO NICK VERBITSKY said, “JOEL GRAHAM is a very smart and very talented guy who has guided the evolution of UCN and made it a very compelling and successful resource for radio stations. We’re thrilled to have both JOEL and his lineup of services under the USRN umbrella going forward.”
GRAHAM added, “I’m thrilled to start this new chapter in my career and lead our very talented team of comedians, writers, performers, and producers at UNITED STATIONS. Optimizing USRN's vast creative resources will help to not only grow UCN, but together we’ll grow all of the company’s outstanding comedy products.”
