Congratulations to JASON ALDEAN, his team and the gang at BROKEN BOW RECORDS on a #1 debut for ALDEAN’s “They Don’t Know” album on both the Country and all-genre charts. According to NIELSEN MUSIC, ALDEAN’s seventh studio album sold 138,000 in equivalent album sales, 131,000 of which were traditional album sales.
Those numbers gave ALDEAN his third consecutive #1 all-genre debut, joining 2014’s “Old Boots, New Dirt” and 2012’s “Night Train.” Additionally, “They Don’t Know” is ALDEAN’s sixth career top 10 album debut. It’s also the first Country album to sit atop the all-genre chart since CHRIS STAPLETON’s “Traveller” did so in NOVEMBER of last YEAR (NET NEWS 11/9/15). Also significant: ALDEAN’s impressive debut is the first time a Country album made its all-genre debut since LUKE BRYAN’s “Kill The Lights” pulled the trick in AUGUST of 2015 (NET NEWS 8/17/15).
