CUMULUS spinoff entity JOULE BROADCASTING, LLC, trustee for the CADET DIVESTITURE TRUST, is selling News-Talk simulcast WJXY-A/CONWAY-MYRTLE BEACH, SC and WXJY/GEORGETOWN, SC to COLONIAL RADIO GROUP, INC. for $240,000.
In other filings with the FCC, JON E. ROBINSON's JER LICENSES, LLC has closed on the sale of KXZT/NEWELL, SD to STEVEN A. SILBERBERG's BAD LANDS BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. (OREGON TRAIL BROADCASTING, LLC).
And ESCUELA DE LA RAZA UNIDA has closed on the donation of Spanish noncommercial KERU-F/BLYTHE, CA to new nonprofit KERU-FM, made up of the station's staff.
Also, VERMONT STATE COLLEGES, licensee of WJSC/JOHNSON, VT, has reached a consent decree with the FCC covering public file violations at the student-run station, namely the discarding by student volunteers of the quarterly issues/programs list five years before its 2013 renewal application and failure to prepare the lists until early 2013. The Commission is fining the station $1,000 to settle the matter and is renewing the station's license.
