COLUMBIA RECORDS Chairman STEVE BARNETT announced today the appointment of BEN GOLDMAN as Sr. VP/A&R. GOLDMAN, who is based in NEW YORK, comes to COLUMBIA from EPIC RECORDS, where he has served as Sr. VP/A&R since 2001.
"BEN GOLDMAN has a great ear for music and a deep understanding of the creative process," said BARNETT. "I was privileged to work with BEN at EPIC, where he signed a series of vital and important artists, from BEN FOLDS FIVE to FUEL to CHEVELLE to MATISYAHU, and helped them realize their full potential on-stage, on-camera, and in the recording studio. I knew when I came to COLUMBIA RECORDS that I wanted BEN to be part of this A&R team, and I look forward to working with him on many exciting new projects in the future."
