BINNIE MEDIA has announced that NEW ENGLAND radio and TV personality MIKE "MIKEY" ADAMS will host an afternoon-drive program that will air from 2-6p (ET) on Classic Rock stations WFNQ (106.3 FRANK-FM)/NASHUA, NH, WFNK (107.5 FRANK-FM)/PORTLAND, ME, and WBYA (105.5 FRANK-FM)/ROCKLAND, ME., to launch in OCTOBER.
WFNQ is home to the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS, while WBYA broadcasts BOSTON RED SOX games. Commented BINNIE MEDIA Pres. LEE KINBERG: “We are thrilled to have MIKE join FRANK-FM and BINNIE MEDIA. His sense of humor and his love of music will make the show a fun place to be for our listeners. He’s already been churning out ideas.”
ADAMS left WEEI/BOSTON in JUNE after nearly 23 years with the station and he is looking forward to this new chapter, “I’m very excited to join such a professional group of broadcasters. If there’s one thing I love as much as sports, its rock 'n' roll, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Added BINNIE MEDIA EVP MASSIMO ROSATI: “Afternoon drive is becoming more and more important to stations. MIKEY’s show will include events of the day, creative bits, great music and of course he will interact live with listeners. It will be appointment listening for the ride home.”
The show will be produced and co-hosted by NEW ENGLAND radio veteran JOHN HAMBLETT and executive produced by BINNIE MEDIA VP Programming SCOTT LAUDANI.
