Rhett Akins Signs Publishing Agreement With Warner/Chappell Music

WARNER/CHAPPELL MUSIC (WCM) has signed songwriter RHETT AKINS to a worldwide publishing agreement. AKINS is a two-time BMI Songwriter Of The Year, has received 29 BMI Awards, was twice honored for BMI Song Of The Year and ASCAP Song Of The Year, has earned five Triple Play Awards, and penned 24 #1 singles. Effective immediately, WCM will publish AKINS' future work in addition to select songs from his catalog. This move reunites AKINS with WCM EVP BEN VAUGHN and WCM Chairman/CEO JON PLATT, who worked with AKINS during his time with EMI PUBLISHING.
